Opal
Synthetic opal necklace: nine playful motifs
In this collection, you'll find nine necklaces with pendants made of synthetic opal: Heart, Star, Crescent Moon, Ghost, Flower, Dachshund, Dinosaur, Cloud and Bat. Synthetic means the stone was made by people and did not grow in nature. I say this openly for every synthetic opal necklace. Even so, you'll see a play of color with every movement as colorful sparks drift across the pendant.
White, lilac or black
Every motif comes in two stone colors. White looks bright and shows sparks in pastel shades, while lilac has a soft lavender tone. On the bat, black takes the place of lilac: red and orange sparks glow against the dark background. The pendants are delicate and measure 10 to 16 mm on their longest side.
14K gold-filled or 925 sterling silver
Every pendant hangs on a fine box chain. You choose 14K gold-filled or 925 sterling silver and a length of 45 cm (17.7 in) or 40 cm (15.7 in). In my studio in Oberhausen, I thread every pendant onto the chain by hand. The chain is water-resistant, but it's best to protect the pendant from perfume and chlorine. Depending on the version, a synthetic opal necklace costs €109 to €169 and comes in a gift box.
Genuine opal or synthetic opal?
If you're looking for a genuine opal, you'll find it in the Opal Heart Necklace from the Luxury collection. The necklaces here show my playful side: motifs for every day, for mixing and matching or as a small gift. The ghost and bat are made for Halloween, while you can wear the heart, star and crescent moon all year round. Two motifs together, such as the star and crescent moon in 40 cm and 45 cm, make a small set. Opal is considered the birthstone for October.
