This aquamarine pendant is a charm: it has its own spring ring and moves with you from bracelet to necklace. Like emerald, it belongs to the beryl family, and its name comes from Latin, where aqua marina means seawater. Tiny amounts of iron in the crystal give it its light blue color. The stone is cut into a faceted rectangle and set in a slim bezel that protects its edges. Its color stays stable even in sunlight and does not fade. Because it measures 7.5 to 8 on the hardness scale, the little stone can also handle life on a bracelet you wear a lot.
All the metal on this charm is 14K gold-filled, from the setting and ring to the spring ring, and there is no silver version. The thick gold layer of this material is firmly bonded to a base metal and hardly wears off, even if you move the charm around often. The spring ring opens with a tiny lever, and once it's around a link of your necklace or bracelet, you let go. The spring ring closes by itself, and the aquamarine hangs securely. Before an aquamarine charm leaves my studio in Oberhausen, I assemble it by hand and test that the spring ring snaps shut cleanly. That way, you can wear your aquamarine pendant on your bracelet today and on your necklace tomorrow.
A charm holds on to a moment, and aquamarine brings a beautiful story with it. As the birthstone for March, it is a good choice for the first charm on a bracelet that grows with you. By tradition, it was meant to bring sailors calm waters, a good sign for any journey.
Your aquamarine pendant is water-resistant and can stay on your bracelet when you wash your hands, shower, or bathe. Afterward, rinse off any chlorine or salt with clean water. Check now and then that the spring ring still closes firmly, especially on a bracelet you wear every day.
To clean it, dip the charm in lukewarm soapy water and brush the facets clean with a soft brush, so light can pass through the stone freely again. Then dry it with a lint-free cloth. Keep it in a small pouch, away from softer jewelry that the hard stone could scratch.
With the spring ring, you can move the aquamarine from your bracelet to your necklace in seconds.
The blue color of aquamarine does not fade, even in sunlight.
Aquamarine is the birthstone for March and makes a lovely first charm.

The charm has a spring ring clasp made of 14K gold-filled. Pull the little lever back, put the ring around a link of the chain and let go, and it closes on its own. Taking the charm off is just as easy.
On bracelets and necklaces with open links, such as a cable chain, you hook it directly into a link. With a fine box chain, close the spring ring clasp around the whole chain, and the aquamarine will slide to the front and center on its own.
Yes, the charm holds a real aquamarine, a gemstone from the beryl mineral group. It has a faceted rectangular cut, and its color stays stable even in sunlight.
Yes, that's what it's made for. Together with the sun, the oval cultured freshwater pearl and the opal heart, it creates a bracelet that brings together light, sea and love. You can rearrange the charms anytime.
A very good one, because aquamarine is the birthstone for March. As a first charm, it lays the foundation for a bracelet that grows with every new memory. I ship it in my gift box, so there's nothing left for you to wrap.
