From biomedicine
to art.
Carola is a biomedical scientist by profession. But her calling has always been designing. She has been painting since she was little, traveled halfway around the world and in 2019 took care of a puma and a howler monkey in the Bolivian jungle. After that it was clear where her path would lead. This is her story.
About the artist
Hi, I'm Carola.
I am a biomedical scientist by profession. But my calling is to design. I am a jewelry designer and artist, nature lover, travel lover and mom. What I took away from my studies was precision: today, when I test a stone or bend a wire, I think about structure and that everything that holds must be well thought out.
In 2018 I packed my backpack and traveled around the world: Mexico, Colombia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Australia. In the end the trip took me to Bolivia, a place that changed everything.
Since childhood
First came the brush.
I've been painting since I was a little girl and I've never stopped. In my pictures you will often find the night sky, moon and clouds. Later I even sold my own pictures.
Designing is in my blood. While painting I learned to see colors and feel shapes. That's exactly what helps me today when I bring stone, metal and chain together.

Months in the jungle,
between pumas and howler monkeys.
At the end of my trip around the world, I lived deep in the Bolivian jungle for several months. Tarantulas and snakes were part of everyday life. There I looked after animals that had been harmed by people. I will never forget two of them: Nico, a puma, and Biton, a howler monkey.
Both had been mistreated by families there. They could no longer survive alone in the wilderness. So we fed them, cared for them and tried, step by step, to release them back into the wild. Often I just sat with them and watched as they slowly regained their trust.
Unfortunately, Nico and Biton are no longer alive today. But my heart remains with them to this day. Far from any city, without reception, between the rainforest and the earth, it was there that I realized what I really wanted: to create something with my hands that lasts. Something honest that doesn't take away beauty, but preserves it.
"Nico and Biton are no longer there. But a piece of them is in everything I do."

Today
The studio in Oberhausen
Today, Carola makes each necklace by hand in her studio in Oberhausen, using real gemstones, raw crystals and freshwater pearls. There's always a bit of jungle there.
About the studio
A studio that started in 2019.
Back from the jungle, I founded my studio in 2019. The idea was simple: jewelry that is honest. Materials that last for many years. Hands shaping each piece individually. No series, no compromises.
I work with 925 sterling silver, 14K gold filled, genuine gemstones and real freshwater pearls. I check every stone for color and clarity, I close every necklace myself. Everything that leaves the studio has my signature.
The love for nature that I learned in the jungle is in every piece. Not as a motive, but as an attitude: take less, slow down, last longer.

Design · Beauty · Nature
Beauty that doesn't take away, but preserves.
Every piece I make is a small promise to Nico and Biton: that beauty and durability belong together. And that with love for nature you can create something that lasts.
