Like emerald, aquamarine belongs to the beryl mineral group and is a silicate of beryllium and aluminum. Its pale, cool color comes from iron in the crystal. This aquamarine bracelet carries a rectangular cut stone in a gold bezel. Its facets refract the light, and with every movement of your wrist it flashes for a moment. The stone hangs from its own small spring ring, so you can take it off or add more charms to your bracelet later. The stone reaches 7.5 to 8 on the Mohs scale and handles everyday life on your wrist well.
The bracelet, setting, and spring ring are made of 14K gold-filled. With this material, the gold layer is much thicker than with gold plating and firmly bonded to the base metal. That pays off especially on the wrist, where jewelry often rubs against table edges and sleeves. The chain is a cable chain: its oval links hang crosswise to each other in alternating directions and make the bracelet supple. At 19 cm (7.5 in) long with a spring ring clasp, the aquamarine bracelet sits loosely and comfortably. In my studio in Oberhausen, I make each bracelet by hand and check the spring ring before I hook on the stone.
As the birthstone for March, aquamarine is a stone with a personal touch. By tradition, it was also meant to strengthen happiness in marriage. That's why an aquamarine bracelet makes a lovely gift for a wedding anniversary or a March birthday.
Washing your hands, doing the dishes, putting on lotion: a bracelet goes through a lot in everyday life. Your aquamarine bracelet is water-resistant, so you can simply leave it on. Soap and hand cream residue can form a thin film over the facets, though, and then the stone loses some of its sparkle. So rinse the bracelet under clean water every now and then.
For a more thorough cleaning, place the bracelet briefly in lukewarm soapy water and brush the stone and setting with a soft toothbrush. Then rinse it well and let it dry on a cloth. Store it lying flat so the links don't get knotted and the aquamarine doesn't scratch anything.
At 7.5 to 8 on the Mohs scale, aquamarine is clearly harder than ordinary glass.
The aquamarine hangs on its own spring ring and can be combined with other charms.
By tradition, aquamarine was said to strengthen happiness in marriage.
If you were born in March, this is your birthstone. By tradition it was considered a protective stone for sailors and a stone that strengthens happiness in marriage.

From end to end, the bracelet measures 19 cm (7.5 in), and it closes with a spring ring clasp. Ideally, a bracelet should be 1.5 to 2 cm (0.6 to 0.8 in) longer than your wrist measurement. So with a wrist of about 17 cm (6.7 in), it fits loosely and comfortably.
Yes, the aquamarine hangs on its own spring ring clasp and comes off in one easy move. You can hang it on a chain or add more charms from my collection to the bracelet, for example the sun, the oval cultured freshwater pearl or the opal heart.
Yes. Both 14K gold-filled and the hard aquamarine can handle water, so you can leave the bracelet on while washing your hands. After swimming in chlorinated water or salt water, give it a quick rinse with clean water and pat it dry.
Aquamarine reaches 7.5 to 8 on the Mohs hardness scale, while ordinary window glass is about 5.5. That also makes it harder than quartz, which is part of everyday dust and slowly wears many softer stones dull over time. You should still protect it from hard knocks.
Yes, especially for people with a March birthday, because aquamarine is their birthstone. It is also traditionally associated with a happy marriage, which makes it a good fit for a wedding anniversary. It arrives in the black Handmade Art by Carola gift box.
